THE MYTH OF CORPORATE SAFETY
There’s a moment after the termination call.
The reorg email.
The vanished promotion.
It’s quiet.
And sobering.
And if you’re awake enough, you start asking:
“How did I end up here again?”
I’ve asked that question four times—
Four corporate outplacements in six years.
Each time I delivered results.
Each time I played by the rules.
Each time I was told I mattered—until I didn’t.
IT’S NOT PERSONAL. IT’S STRUCTURAL
Let’s be clear:
Most of the people I worked with were hard working, respectable and decent.
But the system we served?
It was designed to discard.
You are useful… until you are not.
And when the chart changes or the narrative shifts—
You’re extracted.
Not with rage.
With indifference.
The system isn’t broken.
It’s working exactly as designed.
This is the game:
Short-term optics
Quarterly compliance
Human output, de-risked, sanitized, replaceable
THE FORGE BEGINS AFTER THE FIRE
When I walked through my fourth collapse, something shifted.
I stopped trying to re-enter the system.
I started building outside of it.
And that’s what the Forge is:
Not therapy
Not branding
Not hustle culture with a better paint job
It’s a sacred rebuild.
You don’t reinvent yourself.
You remember yourself.
You forge what’s real.
Principle by principle.
Ritual by ritual.
Brick by brick.
That’s the Second Life Leader path.
